Just three weeks after the earthquake in Haiti in February 2010, the city Les Cayes was flooded. The flood was due to only 30 minutes of rainfall. Based on my conversation with people in Les Cayes, the flood caused some major devastation.
The only hospital in the city of Les Cayes was flooded. The a hospital was already in a very bad shape even before the earthquake. After the earthquake thousands flee to Les Cayes seeking refuge. As a result, the hospital is full over capacity.
